Christmas Day!

Lexi was so excited to wake up on Christmas Morning, and see that Santa came!!  She ran straight for her stocking, and started looking thru her goodies!  I was excited, because Santa even brought Jared and I some Swedish Fish!  Yummy!!!!Lexi also tore thru her presents, and wanted to play with everything just as fast as she opened it.  Overall, all the planning that we did paid off, and we had a very happy girl!

We went over to Grandpa Ken's house and celebrated with him for a couple hours!  Lexi had so much fun playing with Santa in his sleigh.  She also got to have a cute Santa Puppy from Grandpa's tree, and she thought that was really really cool.

Next up, we went to Grandma and Grandpa's house for Christmas!  We brought Jason and Haden their gifts, and they loved them!  Although, I think Jason and Lexi enjoyed Haden's train more than he did lol.  We were able to spend some really good quality time with them, and Lexi just soaked up Grandpa cuddles the whole time!

Our final stop was Grandma and Harley's house!  DeAnn has been hinting at Lexi all month to see if she would want the Princess Puppy, and of course Lexi was over the moon excited to get her!
Overall, Lexi was way over spoiled again! We love our family so so much!!!!

One final note, It snowed today on Christmas!  We had fresh powder everywhere, and it was so pretty!  Lexi escaped me to run in it before we left for the day!

Christmas Eve!!!!!

Christmas Eve
Oh the excitement of this little girl!!!  Its so hard to be 3 years old, and know that Santa is coming tonight!   As we do every year, we made some cookies for Santa.  This year, we made Snowman Sugar Cookies!!  We also put together a Gingerbread house as well (Lexi fell asleep before we decorated tho....) and Lexi opened her Christmas Eve Pack!  It came with pajamas, popcorn, and a book to read.  Lexi was bound and determined to stay awake until Santa got there.  But she did not last, and fell asleep on the couch.  lol.  Was REALLY tempted to leave her there, and let her wake up to the presents, but Mama needed snuggles ;)

So many Halloween Activities!! :D

Halloween Family Fun 2014!!

As with every year, October is jam-packed full of fun activities!!!   There are TONS of pictures, So I just did a collage for each activity :D

Every year, Ogden Nature Center does their Creatures of the Night.  This is our 2nd time going, and it was so much fun!!!   There are lots of games for the kids to play, and they get cute little prizes!  Then they can go on a Creature Hunt, and find some animals.  They also get to make some crafts, this year, it was a toilet paper spider!  They also have a black-light giant spider web that the kids get to climb thru

The Dinosaur Park also does a fun Trunk or Treat like thing every year.  You can dress up in your costume (Lexi was Doctor Who this year) and go around to different vendors, each with a game to play, and the kids will win candy and small toys!  They also have lots of Halloween decorations all thru the park, so you can still visit all the dinosaurs, and you also get to play in the park!  So much fun!!!

J and J Garden Center, every year, will let you go on a hayride for free, and pick out a pumpkin!  Lexi had so much fun dragging us around and finding the perfect pumpkin!!!

Treehouse Museum had their Halloween activity this year.  You meet the Mad Matter, and the Old Woman in a shoe at the beginning, and they take you on a story time adventure!   We got to meet Arthur, and see him pull the sword from the stone, and become king!  We met the three little pigs, and so many other fairy tale characters! Kids also got longs of fun stuff, and Lexi and Aiden had a blast racing back and forth afterwards.

Cherry Hill is a local water park/Mini Golf course.  Every October, it transforms into Scary HIll!   There are scary decorations up all over the golf course, mazes, and even a haunted hay ride thru the skeletons!

Family Halloween Party at the Slightly Haunted Burrow!   Its always so much fun to get with Family during the Holidays, but the Halloween party is always my favorite!  This year, everyone was required to wear a costume, and everyone brought a fun game for the kids to play.  They had Pumpkin Bowling, Mummy Wrapping Race, and Crafts, and we got to roast marshmallows.  It was so much fun!!!

Halloween!  This was probably our most simple Halloween we ever did :(  Most because I was sick with being pregnant.  Oh well.  Lexi got to dress up as a Witch Doctor, and go Trick or Treating.  and we still had fun!

Exciting News!

EXCITING NEWS!~

So a couple months ago, Jared and I decided we were ready to start trying to our second child.  Since I do no ovulate on my own, we needed to do some careful planning since it is very time consuming to get pregnant, with the weekly appointments, and remembering meds, and so many other.....factors (wink wink)

We did not want another Aug baby, so we decided that we will do a couple rounds, starting just after Lexi's birthday.  If no positive result by Halloween, we would wait until January to pick up again.
According to my last visit/ultrasound.  with the help of being on metformin to regulate my periods, I was actually ovulating, but i was not getting quality eggs, which means that even if I did get pregnant, It was a high chance of it not being viable, and ending in a miscarriage.  So with the first cycle, starting literally the day after Lexi's party, we started clomid to see how that helped my eggs.  Little did we know that not only would I pop out a very healthy egg, but that little egg was fertilized, implanted, and 2 weeks later we got a positive pregnancy test!!!  I could not BELIEVE it was so simple!!!

Harley's 9th Birthday!

Today we celebrated Harley turning 9 years old!!   I met this sweet girl when she was just 4 months old, and I can not believe she is 9 now!  So unfair how fast they grow up!

Harley has always loved horses, and her passion for them has grown so much this last year!  So it was no surprise that she had a horse birthday.  What was really awesome about her cake, Harley painted the barn all by herself, and she did an amazing job at it!!!!

Besides eating cake, and opening presents, all the kids played on the playground, and played a frisbee game.  Was a lot of fun!!

The Making of Lexi's 3rd Birthday!

So Lexi LOVES My little Pony, especially Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash. So we decided to do her a Pony Party! (She loves saying this btw lol) So I fell to good old Pinterest! Jared wanted to do a layered Rainbow Cake. Origionally, we were gonna just do the layers all in one pan, but you always get the weird dips because you eventually push your first colors out to the side, So Jared decided we are gonna make 6 thin cakes, one for each layer, and stack them together. So we baked our cakes! 6 in the rectangle pan, 6 in the
Circle.  We just used the French Vanilla Betty Crocker mix, and food coloring :)

Once we had all our cakes baked, and cooled, We started to stack them with Raspberry Jam in between each layer.    Once we had all of them stacked, Jared cut them so all the edges were even. Jared had to add a couple extra pieces to the edges so the top lay flat tho

Now it was on to the decorating!  Jared worked really hard finding the right icing, and decorating it.
He raised a corner of the cake to give Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy a cloud to sit on.  and created a small creek down the cake that ended in  a waterfall off the side of the cake.

Then we put these mini figures on top of the cake
Then we added some Candy rocks and flowers for the finishing touches! And now, we have our BEAUTIFUL Cake!

To celebrate, we went to the Dinosaur park!!  Lexi loves Dinosaurs, and of course everyone had a blast!!  After exploring, we went to a local park for the cake, presents, and to play some more.  There was a play ground for the kids to play on, and a large field that we were able to fly kites in!  So much fun!!
